Derek Lyons 

Derek Lyons is a cognitive psychologist, currently completing his doctorate in the Yale University psychology department. His research focuses on cognitive development and learning, especially social forms of learning such as imitation, as it occurs in the early childhood years.

Derek's childhood development research has been featured in the New York Times, on NPR, and on Slashdot.com, and will appear in the spring on NOVA. In the scientific press, Derek's research has been published in Current Opinion in Neurobiology, Philosophy Compass, Behavioral and Brain Sciences, and in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

In addition to his psychology training, Derek is also a Rhodes Scholar, and holds graduate degrees in computer science and artificial intelligence from the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Reed College.Hello Felix Ball
